There is a green revolution taking place.  Greens are being elected to esteemed government posts across the globe.  Not just the standardbearers in New Zealand and Germany but now England, France, Australia, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden and most recently Canada.  In the US there are 133 elected Greens.  Even one in York County!

York Greens’ Holiday Party set for December 8th

Please join us to celebrate our 2011 growth and activism at the home of James Rountrey and Britt Beachley, 46 S. Pine Street, York 17403 starting at 7:00 PM Thursday, December 8th (quick meeting at 6:30).   The Green Party is the undisputed, leading activist party that is consistently out in front on the important issues of our times: whether it be the Gulf Oil Spill, the Rally for Sanity, Supporting Local & Organic Farms, Opposition to Fracking, the Wisconsin Uprising, Tom Corporate’s Inauguration, Citizen’s Climate Lobby and the DeChristopher Trial, the Transition Movement, Green Energy “Energy Stock”, and now the Occupy Wall Street movement,  the Greens are your party and we are on the move!

NEXT GREENS MEETING OCTOBER 5TH

Congratulations to all Greens and Friends for an excellent & active winter-spring season.  Throughout the summer months there will be informal, open-to-the-public lunch meetings at Central Market at 12:00 Noon on Thursdays.  All interested persons are also invited to join the York Greens Yahoo Group on line to keep in touch with news and coming activities.  As the song goes:  See you in September!

NEXT GREENS MEETING MAY 5TH

The next meeting of the Green Party of York County will take place on Thursday, May 5th at 7:00 PM.  Meeting place will remain at 631 S. Pine Street, York, PA 17403.  For directions call 717-845-8697.

The agenda will include summer activities  such as another fundraising concert, a “moving day” registration drive and possible Green Party of Pennsylvania events. 

A meeting of the local chapter of the Citizens Climate Lobby may be taking place one hour prior to the Greens meeting in the same location, (not yet confirmed).

 

APRIL MEETING DATE CHANGED

January 10th, 2011
