ENERGYSTOCK 2012 has been scheduled for Saturday, June 9th at the Boat Basin (Foundry Park) in York.  This is York’s first renewable energy festival promoting and celebrating a green energy revolution who’s time has come.  On hand will be home and business contractors for solar, wind, geothermal, and energy efficiency professionals.  Come with your questions about the viability, cost and incentives available for installing a renewable energy system in your home or business.  There will also be 5 musical groups playing throughout the day, speakers, and an exhibition of the new Nissan Leaf, all-electric car.  See Facebook page here.

YORK COUNTY PRESIDENTIAL CAUCUS took place over the week of May 1st with final balloting on May 3rd.  Results showed a strong lead for Dr. Jill Stein of Massachusets with 90% of the votes, followed by well-known TV actress Roseanne Barr with a 10% showing.

PETITIONING has begun for the Green Party Nominee for President.  So far the York local has collected about 300 signatures is and moving forward throughout May, June and July.  Can you help collect some signatures within your friends and family?  Call 845-8697 to have a petition mailed to your home so you can get started.  The Greens are burdened with a signature requirement of 20,000 signatures, while the corporate parties only need to collect 2,000.

Pine Street, York 17403 starting at 7:00 PM Thursday, December 8th (quick meeting at 6:30).   The Green Party is the undisputed, leading activist party that is consistently out in front on the important issues of our times: whether it be the Gulf Oil Spill, the Rally for Sanity, Supporting Local & Organic Farms, Opposition to Fracking, the Wisconsin Uprising, Tom Corporate’s Inauguration, Citizen’s Climate Lobby and the DeChristopher Trial, the Transition Movement, Green Energy “Energy Stock”, and now the Occupy Wall Street movement,  the Greens are your party and we are on the move!
